SportsMoney, LLC., is proud to announce its hiring of former NFL tight end Jermaine Wiggins as a senior member of the company’s business development team. Mr. Wiggins, who played eight years in the NFL before becoming a TV and radio sports analyst will be responsible for managing SportsMoney business development and partnership efforts with particular focus on NFL players.
Mr. Wiggins, a graduate of the University of Georgia, began his NFL career with the New York Jets in 1999. During his eight years in the NFL, Mr. Wiggins played for six different teams and was a member of the 2001 Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots and 2003 NFC Champion Carolina Panthers. Since retiring from the NFL Jermaine has become a frequent radio and television analyst for a number of media outlets including the Boston Globe, CSN New England, WBZ, and WHDH.
Having experienced financial frustrations of his own after retiring from the NFL, Mr. Wiggins is passionate about working with players and their families to help them avoid the same financial and lifestyle challenges he faced after his career. In addition to his frequent media appearances, Jermaine enjoys coaching and playing hockey and spending time with his wife and daughter.
“We are thrilled to have Jermaine join our team,” said SportsMoney CEO Trish Kennedy. “His experience in the NFL coupled with his passion for our mission — having lived through the vary reason we exist — will make him a tremendous asset to SportsMoney.”
